Lynda Reeves is one of Canada’s leading personalities in the fields of interior design, decorating, and lifestyle trends. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Reeves would spend her summers working at a china shop in the tourist district where she learned about Royal Doulton, Wedgewood, and Spode. Lynda is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the
University of Toronto, Trinity College, and holds a teaching degree. She was briefly a high school teacher and guidance counsellor before becoming the managing partner of a commercial/residential interior design firm in Toronto. Inspired by the lack of information about the design field, in 1986 she purchased and re-launched House & Home magazine as the first publication available in Canada to provide readers with the best in design, decorating, food, and lifestyle trends. Lynda was the Host and Executive Producer of House & Home Television, a daily national talk show broadcast on CTV, Global Television, and HGTV. It was the first Canadian design and lifestyle series of its kind, and its nine seasons include 500 episodes featuring house tours, decorating lessons, cooking segments, and design news. Lynda currently Executive Produces House & Home Online TV, now in its fifth season, with new episodes available every week. The Lynda Reeves Design Studio develops branded merchandise for the home and designs and decorates private residential projects. The studio also designed and decorated six grand prize show homes for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, and recently partnered with the Toronto International Film Festival to create the 2014 TIFF Red Carpet Suite. Reeves continues to inspire millions of Canadians through her magazine columns, public speaking engagements, and appearances on national TV and radio.
