Dillon Douglas is a self-taught visual artist based in Canada. He works subversively in the traditions of expressionism, cubism and surrealism. He isn’t necessarily interested in painting what is beautiful or heroic, but rather the unavenged, unangelic and eclipsed. He holds a BA in English Literature and a MA in Theory and Criticism. After becoming disenchanted with academia, he leapt into the world of digital marketing, graphic design and art. He started painting in the autumn of 2020. He could no longer, contra Deleuze, be “a friend of the concept.”
