The 1950s were a defining age for fashion—a decade of grace, beauty, and enduring influence.

This was a time of remarkable contrasts, with post-war prosperity and evolving social norms reflected in a new era of sophistication and style for women. Immerse yourself in a selection of garments from designers including Christian Dior, Claire McCardell, Lilli Ann, and Norman Norell, among others, and see how they continue to inspire and captivate us today.

"It’s My Party: 1950s Women’s Fashion Exhibit" opens on January 25, 2025, at the Niagara Falls History Museum and runs until September 21, 2025.
